After earning a bachelor's degree in art and graphic design, Hennessey remained in Western New York and pursued a career in media marketing, a role he still holds as an account director at Marketing Tech in Buffalo. Our guest today is Shawn Buffum, who is the Chief Operating Officer at Orville's Home Appliances, Western New York's largest appliance retailer. Early in his career, he was the advertising sales manager for the Buffalo News and later on became the Vice President of Marketing and Digital Advertising. He has also worked as Regional Director of Sales for Live Nation, an events promoter and venue operator. Shawn graduated from SUNY Fredonia in 1997.

Today’s guest is Colleen Barton, SUNY Fredonia alumnus, who is a member of the class of 1990 Colleen is a communication strategist who has been instrumental in developing initiatives to advance organizational goals and brand visibility. She is currently the Communications Director for the Food Research and Action Center. Previously, she has been a successful public relations consultant who has served national nonprofits, international organizations, and various foundations, often by creating media coverage for her clients. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to work with many celebrities and she will be sharing her experiences.
